Why This Matters
When FranFlow sends email on your behalf (for templates, automations, campaigns), it uses an email domain and sending server.
If you use a shared sending domain (the default), some emails may:
❌ Go to spam
❌ Be delayed
❌ Not show as trusted in recipients’ inboxes
A custom sending domain or dedicated IP increases:
✔ Deliverability
✔ Brand recognition
✔ Trust and inbox placement
And a properly configured LC Lead Email makes sure your lead-generated messages look professional and consistent.
Terms You Should Know
Before diving into steps:
Custom Sending Domain: A web address you own (like
mail.yourdomain.com) that FranFlow uses to send email as you.LC Lead Email / LC Email: A dedicated email identity FranFlow uses only for lead messaging.
Dedicated IP: Your own unique sending address on the internet.
It’s not shared with other users — meaning your reputation stays solely yours.DNS / Domain Records: Settings at your domain provider (like GoDaddy or Google Domains) that tell the internet how to handle your email and website.

1. Create a Custom Sending Domain
Step 1 — Pick a Subdomain
In order to configure your FranFlow sending domain, it must be a subdomain. A subdomain is a domain with an appendage at the front. For example:
Your website is franchisingrocks.com
Your subdomain then could be:
email.franchisingrocks.com
The subdomain is the 'email' before 'franchisingrocks'
You can choose something like:
email.yourdomain.com
send.yourdomain.com
mail.yourdomain.com
Step 2 — Go to FranFlow Settings
Log in to FranFlow
Go to Settings
Click Custom Domains (or Email Services → Sending Domains)
Step 3 — Add the Subdomain
Type your chosen subdomain (
send.mintfc.com)Click Add
FranFlow will generate several DNS records — usually:
✔ TXT
✔ CNAME
✔ MX (in some cases)
These records need to be added at your domain provider.
2. Add DNS Records at Your Domain Provider
Go to the service where you purchased your domain (GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.)
For each record FranFlow gave you:
Record Type: TXT or CNAME
Host/Name: e.g.,
sendor provided codeValue or Points to: the long string FranFlow provides
TTL: leave default
Save each one.
💡Pro tip: you can Google search or go to your domain service's help center to find the exact steps for the service provider you're using. While the overall steps are the same, typically there's a few extra clicks. Search something like "add DNS records for GoDaddy"
3. Set Up an LC Lead Email
LC Lead Email is the identity FranFlow uses for outbound messaging to leads.
Step 1 — Go to Settings
Click Email Services
Select Custom Sending Domain
Step 2 — Select Your Domain
Choose the verified domain you just added.
Step 3 — Create or Assign an LC Lead Email
This will be something like:
We've paired the email + subdomain together that you created in step 1.
Once created, FranFlow will show it as your dedicated sending identity.
4. Verify Everything Works
After setting up:
Wait for DNS propagation (often minutes, sometimes a few hours)
Go back to FranFlow → Custom Sending Domains
Confirm the status says Verified
If verified:
✅ Your custom domain is active
✅ Emails sent from FranFlow use your identity
✅ Inbox deliverability improves
🪄 Best Practices:
✔ Use a clear sending identity ([email protected])
✔ Keep your SPF and DKIM records clean
✔ Avoid mixing sending domains
✔ Use consistent branding
✔ Monitor inbox placement
Common Problems & How to Fix Them
Problem: Domain Won’t Verify
✔ Confirm DNS records match exactly what FranFlow gave
✔ Remove spaces when copying/pasting
✔ Confirm you added them under the correct domain
✔ Wait — DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours
Problem: Emails Still Go to Spam
✔ Set up a dedicated IP
✔ Confirm DKIM/SPF records are correct
✔ Remove old sending domain records
✔ Use consistent “From” email
Problem: I Don’t See the Custom Domain Option
Some plans require specific features or permissions.
If you don’t see it:
✔ Check your FranFlow plan
✔ Ask your admin user to grant permission
